Cory Baker

Coach Corey Baker enters his inaugural season as the Centurions Men’s Head Basketball Coach. Coach Baker, a veteran high school basketball coach and a McDonald's All-American point guard in 1990, brings a wealth of experience and talent to CCC’s dedicated staff. As a player, Coach Baker was a standout in high school and completed his on-court career at Pfeiffer University, where he graduated as a Division II Academic All-American in 1996. Baker also coached NBA players Dennis Smith and Bam Adebayo for the adidas-affiliated Team Loaded basketball program based in Richmond, VA. Outside of sports, Baker has worked extensively as a licensed mental health counselor. He uses his personal story of addiction recovery and redemption to mentor at-risk youth and student-athletes struggling with behavioral problems.
